Kiongozi wa Kanisa Katoliki duniani, Papa Francis (PICHANI)amekubali kumuondolea sakramenti ya upadri, Raymond Mosha wa Jimbo Katoliki la Moshi ikiwa ni miaka 20 tangu padri huyo aombe kuachana na daraja hilo.
Barua ya uamuzi wa Papa Francis ilisomwa juzi katika parokia na vigango vyote vya Kanisa Katoliki Jimbo la Moshi katika ibada zilizofanyika katika makanisa ya jimbo hilo.
Miongoni mwa parokia ambazo barua hiyo ilisomwa ni Karanga ambako Paroko wake, John Matumaini alitoa tangazo hilo katika ibada zote. Uamuzi huo ambao ni nadra kutolewa na Papa, unamaanisha kuwa sasa padri huyo yuko huru kuoa na kuwa na familia.
Hata hivyo, wakati uamuzi huo ukitangazwa rasmi juzi, tayari Padri Mosha ambaye ni profesa wa falsafa na maadili katika Chuo Kikuu cha Nelson Mandela Arusha, ana mke na watoto watatu ambao kwa sasa wako vyuo vikuu.
Padri Mosha alisema aliandika barua kuomba kuondolewa daraja hilo mwaka 1994 kabla ya uamuzi kutolewa juzi.
Katika orodha ya mapadre 185 wa Kanisa Katoliki Jimbo la Moshi iliyopo katika tovuti ya jimbo hilo, jina la Padri Mosha linaonekana likiwa ni namba 23.
Akizungumzia hatua hiyo, Padri Mosha alisema: “Ninafurahi kufunguliwa kifugo hiki na hii itanifanya niishi kama Mkristo. Kwa vile hawajaniondolea sifa ya kutoa huduma kama vile ibada za mazishi, sakramenti ya mwisho na ubatizo, nitaendelea kutoa kwa wahitaji kwa sababu ninaupenda ukristo.
“Nashukuru sasa nimekuwa muumini wa kawaida nitaweza kufunga ndoa kanisani kwa kuwa nilikuwa nimefunga ndoa ya kisheria tu kwa DC.”
Kuhusu kwa nini aliamua kuacha upadri, Profesa Mosha alisema ni baada ya kufanya kazi hiyo kwa miaka 20 na akaona ipo haja ya kuwa na familia lakini kanisa lilikuwa haliruhusu.
“Sasa kwa kuwa kanisa haliruhusu mapadri kuoa ndiyo maana nikaamua kuandika barua ambayo hata hivyo, imechukua muda mrefu kujibiwa na tayari nina watoto watatu wako chuo kikuu.

I have taught Research Methods and Designs on the undergraduate and graduate levels from 2006 to the present. I have also published a number of journal articles and presented professional papers in Chicago, and Cincinnati USA; Nairobi, Kenya; Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; Antananarive, Madagascar; and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
